Anjuman-e- Zainee was established in 1433H and Croydon Markaz was officially opened in the year of Burhanuddin Maula’s 100th salgirah, hence its name, Burhani Centenary Centre (BCC). So the establishment of the BCC was a nemat for the mumineen of Croydon and we will all be eternally grateful to Maula Burhanuddin’s (RA) karam and ehsan for supporting us and blessing us with his duas to build a community in the south of London.
The nur of imaan, with Mufaddal Maula's (TUS) duas and nazar mubarak on mumineen in Croydon is embedding deeply into the fabric of our community and the joshe is such that during Maula’s (TUS) safar to London in Muharram al Haram 1443, the Ayaan , under the guidance of Amil Saheb, Abdulqadir Bhai Saheb Maimoon, fervently and humbly did araz to Maula (TUS) for dua mubarak to forge ahead with the preparation to build a masjid in Croydon. Maula (TUS) karam kai ney dua farmawi. This has consolidated the resolve of all Croydon mumineen and the community has redoubled its efforts to seek out an appropriate location for a masjid.
Due to the tremendous deeni and employment opportunities, excellent road, tram and rail links into Croydon, this has been an inviting atmosphere for newcomers to the country from abroad. Many young professional, highly skilled mumineen along with munimeen who have set up new businesses have recently joined Croydon Jamaat. What started out as a small jamaat is now growing from strength to strength. We now have 95 families with 350 individuals in our Jamaat.
