Anjuman-e-Zainee Croydon is the Dawoodi Bohra community based in Croydon, United Kingdom. Through these efforts, the community upholds the Dawoodi Bohrathe Indian subcontinent, with a presence in over 40 countries worldwide.
Under the spiritual leadership of His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the 53rd al-Dai al-Mutlaq, the community emphasizes values such as education, women's empowerment, environmental responsibility, and engagement with other faiths.In Croydon, Anjuman-e-Zainee actively participates in local initiatives, contributing to the social and cultural fabric of the area. Community members are involved in various professions, including healthcare, education, and business, reflecting their commitment to hard work and societal development.The community places a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, aligning with global Dawoodi Bohra initiatives such as "Turning the Tide," which aims to eliminate single-use plastics and protect natural ecosystems.Anjuman-e-Zainee Croydon also engages in interfaith activities, fostering understanding and cooperation among different religious groups in the region. Through these efforts, the community upholds the Dawoodi Bohra principles of unity, peace, and service to humanity.Due to the tremendous deeni and employment opportunities, excellent road, tram and rail links into Croydon, this has been an inviting atmosphere for newcomers to the country from abroad. Many young professional, highly skilled mumineen along with munimeen who have set up new businesses have recently joined Croydon Jamaat. What started out as a small jamaat is now growing from strength to strength. We now have 95 families with 350 individuals in our Jamaat.
Recently, Daaeratul Aqeeq has become an active part of the Jamaat: the ladies group have set up many social and well- being events, Across the Umoor, the groups have been involving members of the community to take part in hifz, kunz, iqtabasat, welfare, well-being activities, to mention a few. Groups are taking advantage of the zoom facility to hold meetings and plan events. The BWA continues to provide a range of fun filled activities and tabudaat events- over the years Croydon Ladies have contributed to Quran khatams, tasabeeh, ghilaf preperations, celebrations for Maula's (TUS) salgirah and fateha for Amataulla Ai Saheba and Bu Saheba's salgirah. They also organise the niyaz for Hurratul Maleka's (RA).
