CROYDON JAMAAT - ANJUMAN-E-ZAINEE

Anjuman-e- Zainee was established in 1433H and Croydon Markaz
was officially opened in the year of Burhanuddin Maula's 100 th salgirah, hence its name, Burhani Centennial Centre (BCC).

The munimeen of Croydon, prior to the establishment of Croydon Jamaat, would have to travel to Masjid-e- Husaini in Northolt, for all gatherings, during Shehrullah, Ashara Mubaraka as well as taking children to attend madrasah. The journey could take any time between an hour to two hours, occasionally more each way dependent on traffic conditions. So the establishment of the BCC was a nemat for the mumineen of Croydon and we will all be eternally grateful to Maula Burhanuddin's (RA) karam and ehsan for supporting us and blessing us with his duas to build a community in the south of London. Sowing this seed has, over the years, seen the Jamaat grow as more families have joined it, both from the southern boundaries of London, as well as the counties along the south coast and parts of Kent.

Due to the tremendous deeni and employment opportunities, excellent road, tram and rail links into Croydon, this has been an inviting atmosphere for newcomers to the country from abroad. Many young professional, highly skilled mumineen along with munimeen who have set up new businesses have recently joined Croydon Jamaat. What started out as a small jamaat is now growing from strength to strength. We now have 95 families with 350 individuals in our Jamaat.

The mumineen of Croydon have the barakat of imamat namaz, miqaats, regular asbaaq Burhani Women's Association events, Talebaat events, Sporting events (including ladies' yoga which take place at the Markaz) as well as a madrasah for the younger generation. The Markaz is used for shadi functions, darees and other private events where the catering can be provided by our in house catering team- an asset second to none.
